1. Fire Safety

Your new building is equipped with modern fire detection and suppression systems. Fire sprinklers are located throughout the building and fire extinguishers are located in all corridors. Please take a moment to become familiar with these systems. Residents are advised to call the fire department (dial 911) immediately if you hear a neighbor’s smoke detector sounding.
  2. If you ever smell natural gas in the building: do not turn on or off any electrical appliances, leave the area at once and call the fire department (dial 911) from a neighboring house or business. If the building’s fire alarm system sounds, horns and strobes in your unit and throughout the hallways and stairwells will alert you to an emergency in the building.  Our fire alarm is very reliable and rarely sounds. We encourage you to please it seriously and leave immediately using the nearest stairwell. Elevators are out of service in case of a fire emergency.
  3. Please note that a manual fire alarm pull station is located in the lobby in case it becomes necessary to evacuate the building.

    Carbon Monoxide

Carbon monoxide is a tasteless and odorless gas that can quickly kill you. The association recommends that you install a Carbon monoxide detector in your home and test it regularly.
Carbon monoxide detectors have been installed in the second and third floor hallways. If these alarms ever sound, please leave the building at once. Call the fire department by dialing 911 and activate the manual fire alarm pull station in the lobby to evacuate the building.

    Smoking
  4. Smoking is strictly prohibited in any of the common areas. This includes the parking garage, walkways, hallways, courtyard and lobby.
