Palace will be tearing out the sidewalk along Emerson Street from the driveway to the corner on Tuesday starting at 8am. They will be using a jack hammer so if you are home and live on that side of the building you can expect some noise for 3 -4 hours. They plan to pour the new sidewalk on Wednesday. The sidewalk and the service walk entrance from Emerson will be closed. This work is being done to properly drain water away from the foundation.

| The association recently installed Carbon Monoxide detectors in the hallways. We recommend that everyone also have a CO detector in each of your units and test it frequently. CO is a colorless, odorless gas which highly toxic that can come from damaged appliances, heaters, and fireplaces. If a CO alarm sounds, you should go outside to fresh air immediately and call the fire department, emergency services or 911.

| Construction Update 11/10/08: All of the stucco installation has been completed and the scaffolding has come down. We expect the rest of the construction will be completed in about a month. The remaining work includes repouring the sidewalk along Emerson, repair of concrete on the restaurant patio and behind the electrical panels, finishing the lobby addition, painting of balcony undersides, and misc repairs.

The Briargate Homeowners Association Board generally meets the second Monday of the month at 6:00p in the lobby. The 2009 meetings will be held January 12, February 9, March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, October and November 9. From time to time, the date or time of a meeting may change. Be sure the check the website for any changes.
